There are different challenges I faced as a mother and a business owner. As a mother, my son became very ill and when I chose to go the more natural route for his health issues, there was some adversity I faced from my community on moving away from mainstream medicine.
I didn't feel it was doing anything for him, partly because they kept saying "There isn't much we can do for him." I didn't think the holistic stuff was risky, aside from financially, but I definitely received a lot of push back from friends in the medical field and people not understanding. They would look at me like I had lost my mind which would make me doubt my choices. Ultimately though, I feel that he's recovering because of the choices I made to switch.
In addition to worrying about the health of my child, I faced challenges of a new business and doing things I didn't think I could do. This one time I did an organization job which was a master closet. I found that it's very different organizing someone else's home than my own. When I pulled all the stuff out to handle it, I had a mini panic attack (internally). I thought, I don't think I can do this myself, what was I thinking?! I'm in over my head!
I know this sounds cheesy but I took a few deep breaths and told myself "You got this!" I followed the advice I gave to others so many times and just took one step at a time.
Looking at the whole picture can be overwhelming, so I just followed the steps that I tell my clients to take and it turned out great! I was proud of myself, happy that my client was happy and it was encouraging to realize that taking my own advice led to success. I try to remember that as I grow this business.

Part of what helps me organize others and what makes it an approachable project is the fact that I'm an empathetic person and will be your biggest cheerleader. As one faces all the stuff they couldn't on their own, I help them get something done that they really wanted to do while being calm and supportive.
One of my biggest goals is to grow my business to have multiple locations. I would like to offer jobs to more moms. I have met so many mothers including some of my friends, who need work and I'd love to be able to offer that to them.

As I work towards that goal, I am working on learning to not be so harsh on myself. My self talk isn't always the best and I tend to be a perfectionist, so grace and better self talk. It is a work in progress.
